To sum it up; I don't believe storing RAW/DNG alone is the right thing to
do. At least not with important pictures.
Put a copy of dcraw.c on the disk with the backup. Chances of
being able to find a C compiler in the future are pretty damn good. More
flexible than a single "developed" JPG.
