That's a long-running joke between my sister and I - I can't even remember how it started, but I know we were teenagers. I'm knarf, she's Nylorac (Carolyn). When I got my first e-mail address, I went for franktheriault and frank.theriault, but those were both taken, so I tried knarftheriault, and sure enough it was available. Someone on this list called me knarf once as a joke, likely noticing my e-mail addie, and it's taken off somewhat from there. I guess that's my nickname, other than between Carolyn and me, it's really only used in print. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
