One of KEH's cheap newsprint catalogs arrived in the
mail today, and I found a few things interesting.
PZ-1p LN- $415, Ex+ $399
Nikon 8008S Ex+ $254
Nikon N90S Ex+ $265
Canon EOS A2E (EOS 5) Ex+ $235
I found this interesting because the Nikon 8008 and
the Canon A2E were the other cameras I seriously
considered before I bought my PZ-1, and the A2E and
N90S were the main competition for the PZ-1p.
Similarly,
Super Program Ex+ $159
Nikon N2000 Ex+ $129
I launched on the Pentax path with a Super Program,
after weighing carefully the main competition, the
N2000.
Finally,
LX Ex+ $665
F3HP Ex+ $525
Never felt flush enough for either of those!
Anyway...Pentax may have falling profit margins and
perhaps a cloudy future, but their cameras hold their
value better than competing brands.
