I already got the lens, nearly like new. I assumed the rest of the numbers were the serial number before I even saw it. JCO

Butler Creek is a well known manufacturer of lens covers, some of which flip out of the way. That's what the odd front element covering in the picture is... I don't know what all the extraneous numbers he quoted belong to! Some might belong to the lens, some the Butler cover... Only JCO will know, after he gets it in his hands. You sure couldn't trust the seller to help, as he's a totally unaware seller. Sighhh. I'm surprised he advertised it as a Pentax lens, and not a Butler lens! keith whaley
