Hi Jack ... the removal of the "orphan" blossom does improve the pic a bit, but it also changes its context. I think both work, although I do go back and forth between which is preferable.
The additional saturation and contrast doesn't work for me. The photo seems to want a softer, more delicate look. Also, the more saturated look that so many photogs are using these days has become tiresome. Others will most certainly disagree.
