Better late than never?

I have told this story here before, I hope I can stay consistent :-)

I had been sent to work in New Mexico/Texas. I went with a friend for a hike up Sierra Blanca in New Mexico (still snow on the slopes). He was shooting with an Olympus SLR (OM-1 I believe), I was shooting with a 110 (not Pentax, I do not recall the brand at the moment.

Once we got the photos back I was amazed at the differences in photo quality. I knew then that I needed a 35mm SLR. I began to research the different models available before going to stores - this was in 1983.

I settled on the Super Program mainly due to size. I looked at Canon and Nikon and I could not see myself carry those behemoths.

I shortly followed this camera - which I still have, and it still works - with an LX and then another Super Program. Of course this did not stop there as I branched into the M42 mounts, and recently 645 and 67 :-P

The "favorite" pentax poll generated lots of good stuff. Got me to thinking about my first pentax.
