>What length of QR plate would be best suited to the A600/5.6? I'm not familiar with that lens and I believe the plate for my 600mm probably wouldn't work.
You can get a rough idea by finding the balance point for that lens/camera body combo and noting where it is relative to the lens's tripod mount foot. Do this for your lightest/heaviest camera body/converter combo. Ideally the balance point should fall within the length of the lens mount. The further the balance point fall from the center of the mounting foot, the longer the plate required to balance the combo. You won't know for sure until you have the lens/camera combo mounted on the head, however a call to the Wimberly folks will probably get you started. -----Original Message----- From: William Robb <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: Tripod heads One more dumb question.... What length of QR plate would be best suited to the A600/5.6? Thanks William Robb ________________________________________ PeoplePC Online A better way to Internet http://www.peoplepc.com
