Reminds me a bit of Martin Parr's book 'Autoportrait' where Parr took the opportunity of having his portrait taken wherever he was on his travels by the local photographer. Quite a few of them show him handsome and manly with smooth, toned skin :-) Mostly (all??) done in the darkroom too. Chris
