How would YOU crop it for better composition?

IMO:

1. trim the left side of the frame to just outside the edge of the wing

2. trim the top of the frame to just outside the white fuzzy stuff.

I think the rest of the flower petals need to remain. There are interesting things going on with geometry and parallel lines between the bee, the flower, the petals and the leaf in the background.

You might want to burn in the hot spots in the flower petals and leaf to darken them just a little.
