I'm not Cotty, (thank Gord), and it's been a long time since I've
handled one, but if memory serves me correctly the OM1 had a much
quieter shutter.

Nope, not kidding.
As Peter says, I've not much experieince. I own a coupla Spotties,
coupla LXen, the MX, that's it.
I don't really listen to others' cameras, and in any event, one rarely
gets to hear a mechanical SLR these days.
What's quieter than an MX in your experience, Cotty?
