Another CMWC photo, so don't bother looking if guys on bikes ain't your thang.
This is Chris Freeland, Toronto messenger, leaning into a corner, with a big mother (big by bike courier standards, anyway) Fedex Box on his back. Fedex was the sponsor of a checkpoint, and besides, the whole idea of the messenger race was to simulate the "real world messenger experience", and carrying these PIAs is all part of a courier's day. As I said in an earlier post, with only a 40mm lens, I was limited in what I could do on race day, but I'm still happy with this one: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3599408&size=lg Comments are always welcome. For those of you who haven't been following this series, here's my CMWC (Cycle Messengers World Championship) folder in photo.net, if you're interested in getting a feel for the event and some of the people there: http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=509434 Hope you enjoy. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
