Or underdeveloped, fauxtauxshopically speaking, perhaps? The contrast is pretty low given the subject. Was it really that light, Amita? It would probably look better if you let the shadows go way more to black. I'd probably let the highlights blow out more, but that's me. The 1/6 second shots are pretty clear. Monopods really do the job. I'd take another whack at them in Photoshop, or whatever you're using.
