Kodak and Heidelberg created a joint project called Nexpress
(www.nexpress.com) that is basically a high end laser printing system
for medium-volume production runs - not enough to justify 4-color
offset, but too many for Kinkos :)

It's supposed to do very high quality imaging, but I had a batch of
prints done to evaluate the system (as a favor for a friend who's a
design engineer at Xerox working on a competing machine!)

My conclusion was that it's sort of OK, but nowhere near as good as a
half-way decent inkjet printer.
