For some reason, I've left this thread unopened for almost a month. 
I've been watching it grow (up to over 60 replies) on a daily basis,
thinking, "Gee, I'll have to see what everyone's chatting about," but
never getting around to it until tonight.

First of all, I do get new (to me) equipment from time to time, but I
tend not to make too much of it (most of the time).

But still, I like your general premise:

Blame Robb for everything, and me for nothing.  I wish TROW (The Rest
Of the World) lived by that rule...  <LOL>
