Autoexposure means the camera will AUTOMATICALLY adjust at least
one variable ( either shutter speed, aperture, or in the case of
digital, sensitivity(ISO) ) continously as the lighting/subject
intensity changes. None of the Pentax DSLRS can do autoexposure
with K/M lenses. The green button routine is a one-shot metered
manual with an "automatic" shutter speed setting done for you
but camera doesn't continously readjust as light changes from
shot to shot or if aperture or ISO changes so it not Autoexposure
with green button routine. Its much more like an easy one shot metered
manual which is not the same thing at all.....

It's true you must press the green button your self. But the camera still
chooses the shutter speed it self, when I set the aperture. To me that?s
still Aperture Priority Auto Exposure. I don't have to make adjustments or
even notice which speed is chosen.

Hello Jens,

Sorry, I do that all the time. I call that manual mode. If it were true
aperture priority, then as the lighting changed, so would the shutter speed
without me doing anything. The shutter speed does not change until I press
the green button again.

It doesn't bother me, but for someone else, who is really wanted aperture
priority, it could. Just telling it like it is.
