Thanks Rick. I know. I think the problem is one of color depth. I scanned at 24 bit, but jpeg's won't go for more than 8 bit per channel. I have tried to scan as TIFF's, which seems to take care of the problem. But my panorama software (PhotoVista) does not accept TIFF's.
