I know. I think the problem is one of color depth. I scanned at 24 bit, but
jpeg's won't go for more than 8 bit per channel.
I have tried to scan as TIFF's, which seems to take care of the problem. But
my panorama software (PhotoVista) does not accept TIFF's. It will, however,
accept BMP's, which is practically the same as TIFF's. I might give that a
try some day.

Jens,

I really like this shot, in particular the contrast
between the shadowed left and the sunlit right.

However, on my monitor anyway, there is a distracting
herringbone pattern in the sky, that extends all the
way across the image.  A scanning artifact, perhaps?
