I have spent the last week with some friends at the Chateau du Bailleul, outside Gorron in the department of La Mayenne. Here are some photos I took on the first day, with a 2 megapixel p&s, of Sophia boating round the moat:

I don't use the little digital camera very much. It's interesting in that the problems with parallax through the viewfinder force me to use the panel on the back for framing, but because I now have to wear reading glasses, it meant that I couldn't really see much detail in what I was shooting. Of course, there are also the usual hassles of shutter lag to overcome, and flashes popping when I really don't expect them to.
