That pair of tans shorts could probably become an abstract landscape. :)

a 600mm lens on a *istD is a very long lens for landscape work. need
mountains or hills with interesting objects in front of them and a far
vantage point to get the flattened perspective. otherwise, it's really
better as a wildlife lens. i find 300-400mm on the *istD better for
telephoto landscapes.

Much the same here, now. I went out to the country yesterday for a couple
of hours, wanting to try the new toys.
Didn't find a single thing that caught my eye.
Some of this may be that I need to retrain my eye somewhat. I've never
been much of a telephoto shooter. I've got a lot more reach now than I am
used to.
