When I was 10 a traded away a toy car (big wooden one) for a camera (Agfa 6x9). That was 45 years ago and I've been photographing ever since. What inspired me? Life, I guess. I don't really have idols. I like Georges Meis Greek postcards, though. Especially his panoramas: http://www.postercheckout.com/PictureGroup.asp?ArtistID=16209 I guess the same guys that inspired most of us; Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sam Haskins, David Hamilton, Andreas Feininger (initially an architect). Most important is perhaps reading FotoMagazine, Outdoor Photographer and others for decades. Regards
