No, you run the phone cable to the Airport Base Station. That's it. The
idea is that you can then take your iBook and sit in the kitchen /
bathtub / yard and connect up with out wires to anywhere :-)

On dial-up, when you're connected to the internet, your phone line is
tied up and callers will get an engaged tone, and presumably leave a
message just like they do now.
