Hi,

gloves plus a tiny drop of MoS2 (molybden disulphide) oil works wonders. Put a drop of oil between filter threads and wait for about 10 minutes. After that most of filters separate freely and they do not stuck again. I've used this technique for separating filters from lenses and each other on old cameras. Some threads may have been not moved for tens of years...

Hi Pentaxians

I have two 55mm filters stuck together and would like to ask for an advice to separate them. I can not hold each of them easily to turn them because of the little ring area, is there anything
I can do without damaging one of the filters?

Put on a pair of rubber gloves (dishwashing latex gloves will work).
Sandwich the two filters in the palms of your hands and twist them apart.
