<< Hi all
I was offered an almost brand new LX the other day. I don't know that I
want an LX, as I tend to favour my AF cameras exclusively. It's eating away
into my brain at present, which is a bad thing [tm], as I'd like an MZ-S.
If I buy the LX, the MZ-S is out the window for a year or more.
FWIW, the LX in question is just on two years old, has had about 4 rolls of
film through it. It hasn't been advertised anywhere, and I'm not sure it
ever will be. The asking price is a very reasonable $800 AUD. It comes with
the grip, FA-1 finder, and a beattie screen. It's a lovely camera to hold,
no question about it, but I don't know that it'd get the use it needs.
Like I said, decisions decisions.
Any insights would be appreciated.
One small thing. I am not offering the camera to anyone else, just as I
won't be buying it to on-sell. If I don't buy it, the person that offered
it to me can advertise it if they wish to, and if/ when that happens I'll
pass it along to the group.

Jon Buy it, you won't regret it. You can always buy an MZS, you may not get
another opportunity to buy the LX. I would suggest trading in your autofocus
camera to help pay for the LX. Then next year buy the MZS. Then you will have
the two finest cameras pentax has ever made. i have three LXs and am
considering nabbing a fourth mint condition one. I considered the MZS but I
would rather the LX. I also have a PZ1...
