On the photographers rights topic--one thing that really bugs me are
signs in public places saying "No photos", or "if you take a picture,
pay $xxx".

Yesterday I was at a street fair in Post street, in San Francisco.
There was a display of Japanese swords, and all over it, signs saying
"no photos - no video -- don't ask why". My reaction to this is--wtf?
they are on a public street, during a very public event. In general,
if people ask me not to take pictures, I don't. But this is my
decision, and I like to be asked politely.

One day I will set aside some time, and try to purposefully escalate
one of these situations. It might be fun...
