On the photographers rights topic--one thing that really bugs me are signs in public places saying "No photos", or "if you take a picture, pay $xxx".
Yesterday I was at a street fair in Post street, in San Francisco. There was a display of Japanese swords, and all over it, signs saying "no photos - no video -- don't ask why". My reaction to this is--wtf? they are on a public street, during a very public event. In general, if people ask me not to take pictures, I don't. But this is my decision, and I like to be asked politely. One day I will set aside some time, and try to purposefully escalate one of these situations. It might be fun... j -- Juan Buhler http://www.jbuhler.com photoblog at http://photoblog.jbuhler.com
