Since I got this lens it's been a constant part of any kit I carry.
I've found it to
be extremely sharp extremely good contrast, with excellent flare
control. The sharpest zoom I've
ever used, and on the *ist-D it seems to equal any prime I own in it's
range. A pity it's
not a stop faster...

I guess I'll start looking for one on the used market.
