I thought I hadn't taken many unusual shots, until I started thinking about it a bit more. They're not as weird as some, but...
I photographed some men burning their mother's corpse in India a few years ago (they invited me). That was a strange experience. I had a particularly weird day in Transylania once, when I was invited to photograph a funeral, got very drunk at the wake, then had to take portraits of the bereaved family. Afterwards one of the other mourners (who had plied me with tsuica all day long) invited me to his parents' grave, where I photographed him weeping profusely. Later that day I crashed a wedding; I was so drunk I couldn't focus, and was threatened with death by a group of mafiosi. "Where you from?" "London. England" "Ah. We have good friends in London" "Me too" "Someday they come to your house and kill you" "You'll be wanting my address then. It's..." I laughed in the face of danger. That's how drunk I was. If I'd stayed sober I'd be a member of Magnum by now. But all the pictures are out of focus. -- Cheers, Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 24 August 2005 14:02 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: Survey: Your Most Unusual Shot > > From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Tuesday, August 23, 2005 8:26 PM > Subject: Survey: Your Most Unusual Shot > > > > Q.
