That's the one I'm aiming for but my wallet keeps crying, wailing and gnashing its cards.

You're living too close to Scotland :) When I bought mine I just thought about how much they used to cost. I'd been saving for a while and it did still hurt to write such a big cheque.

I can't fit three gigs in. I think.

I upgraded from 1Gb to 3Gb. I've found that any more than about 2Gb may be pointless anyway. Photoshop CS and CS2 don't behave well when they're using more than about 1Gb... I tend to leave a lot of apps open in the background which is unlikely to help.

Hmmm. Even though I'll have to buy a USB2 card, this seems like an excellent deal. I've even got nine months interest free on a new card, so I don't need to pay for it all at once. The only problem is that I _know_ the Multi Pro (III? - one of the eralier ones is already there) will appear the moment I order this one.

As far as I know there isn't a second version of the Multi Pro, yet. It is quite an old design (2001?) and if they were going to update it they should have done so long ago. They should have at least built that Scanhancer in :(

I think the 5400 is a great deal and if I hadn't needed medium format capability I definitely would have bought it. I wasn't aware that a newer version of it is now available.

Any idea of accessory multi slide feeders? That will be the clincher.

Don't know... see what you can find on the web. I'm sure Cotty would be happy to fabricate something out of duct tape.

Cheers,
