believe it was Sony who made the first consumer digital camera.
Given my druthers, I'd be just as happy if digital had't come along.

Apple actually, the QuickTake 100. 640x480 monochrome in 1994. Sony was
the first to build an electronic-capture camera (The original Mavica,
which was never sold. Analog electronic camera from the 1980's). Sony
was the first of those still in the market.
