Just ask your local Manfrotto distributor. Being well established among pros, Bogen Imaging Italia pays attention to customers' satisfaction, so maybe it is the same over there. (down there?)

Subject: Manfrotto legs are slipping

I have a Manfrotto #055 tripod, with the old style lever locks (instead of the wing-type). Recently, the three locks on the lower section have started to lose their grip, so it it slips with the slightest weight on it. The upper locks are fine. Very annoying as I can only use the tripod at groin height (ahem).

I tried tigtening the hex bolts, but they are already pretty tight. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
