having taken pictures of fireworks without noise reduction, i can say that
unless you are up for several hours of work cleaning each image, you might
as well throw the images away.

I forgot all about the noise reduction setting when I took my recent
fireworks pictures. It was a 10 minuets show and I started shooting
about 4-5 minuets into it. I only managed 5 shots because I forgot to
turn the bloody noise reduction off.
Noise reduction works great, but it's frustrating when you have to
wait for the next frame while the best part of the show is happening
in front of you.
