I get around 2000 from lithiums, but that''s with eight batteries, four
in the grip and four in the camera.

My experience is that the main power consumer is use of LCD, _and_
read/write activity. My theory is that since RAW files takes more time
to
write, it most likely consumes more power. Does this make sense?
