Oops, sorry, Shel - I didn't intend to gloat - I assumed that your first DS
experiences would be about the same as mine. <sheepish_grin>

I'm curious, though - why won't FedEx deliver until 9/2, or at least let
you pick it up?

Well, so it seems to me. However, you have to remember that I am an af
newbie, so maybe I'm just easily impressed - <g>. (My partner has a ZX-5n,
which she uses for both mf and af, but I've almost never used it.)

By the way, the viewfinder is just beautiful to use with mf lenses, and eye
relief is just great for me, considering that I wear glasses, and sometimes
I find that eye relief can be a little hard to come by. I had visions
before the DS arrived of taking off that eyecup, but I find that it does
not get in the way at all (i.e., it does not keep me from getting my eye
close enough to see the full viewfinder).
