Unless there is a hot pixel in a dark area (lighter on darker) usually you can't see them unless you zoom the RAW/JPG a lot. If it has a LOT of hot pixels, enough to be noticeable even without zooming, then I would consider the

I have a DS which I purchased in November of last year. When I shoot for more than a few frames (like, concert photography) at ISO800, there are 13 (!!) pixels of varying shades and brightnesses that are there in every frame. You'd consider that a dud camera/lemon?

Maybe it's time to take advantage of the 1-year warranty before it's too late, but goodness me I don't want to be without the camera over the holidays! Who would be the person that needed to be convinced of that being a warranty-covered defect?
