First impressions and thoughts:
The camera seems so small compared to many of the SLR's I've used. It's
not much larger than the Sony DSC-S85. That's pretty amazing considering
the size of other DSLR bodies.
Quite... I was both impressed and disappointed when I first opened
it up. For some reason it seemed like that much money should have more
"heft" to it. Now I'm very glad it's petite... no larger than necessary,
but not unusably small.
BTW, the absolue *first* thing I did with mine was figure out how
to turn the spastic flash off. It seemed to pop up when it wasn't even
necessary.... now it only fires when I manually pop it up.
Also, just as a note... be careful on third-party lenses in case
you don't know about it already. If they're the Ricoh variant, the little
pin can fall in the AF hole on the body. That will make removal of the
lens difficult without damage to the lens, body, both, or require
disassembly.
