I'm always wary of staff in cameras shops trying to steer me into either
buying something with a good mark up or something they can't push, if I ask
for advice.

As I buy Pentax products, I don't have an easy local shop anyway.

With the increase of shops/big chains having a good web presence, plus eBay,
doing some research and often listening to groups who own the product, is
regularly saving me time, money and disappointment from buying the wrong
item. If anything, I have a very much larger global market, available from
my home at opening hours to suit me.
