" Ice Flower " by Ken Waller, USA
My favorite of the month Ken. All I can say is WOW! Very nice. Perfect
title.
Congratulations on the contest win as well. It seems as if I've seen this
before.
Did Epson publish it somewhere in an ad? Yours has been my favorite two
months in a row (considering the source, you may not appreciate the
complement). :-)

" Little Paradise " by Jaume Lahuerta
Nice Jaume. Looks like a shot from a travel book. Humble suggestion: I find
the washed out sky detracts from a beautiful image. What about cropping the
sky out,
leaving only 6 mm of it. Makes me want to go to Spain.

" Once Upon a Time " by Mark Roberts, USA
Wonderful Mark. It really draws one in. It feels as if I can step into it.
I know they are corny now, but this looks sort of like one of those
life-size
wall murals that was popular in the 70's. It looks like the cover for a
fairy tale book as well.

" Star " by Bruce Dayton, USA
This is really neat Bruce. Very abstract. I am somewhat boggled by it. As
I sit back and stare it transforms itself. Maybe into a flat piece of
polished petrified wood. It also has a spinning effect in the tree leaves,
which I don't understand the cause of. Also the star appears to have
entered the frame, followed by a trail of smoke to it's right (the sky). It
was hard for me to choose between this one & Ken's as my favorite. I may
need to get a fish-eye. My son just attended a music camp here (not really
a camp, but a week long instructional symposium). He plays viola. What do
your girls play?

" VLA at Sunset " by John Cohen, USA
Cool John. I'm running out of words, but I like it alot. Cold & surreal,
that's what it is. Astronomy is a favorite
interest of mine.

" Inquisitive " by Bill Sawyer, USA
Cute Shot Bill. Good posing job you did. I like the highlights in the
little guys eye.

" A Different Chain " by Gianfranco Irlanda, Italy
Interesting. Sometimes the tighter the composition the more the photo
"speaks".

" Jennie " by M. Patrick Hunt
Very engaging shot. I like the use of the wide angle on this. Nice angle
for the shot and a great pose as well as composition.

" Island of Terschelling " by Wessel Sijl, The Netherlands
I like this and how you noticed the light. It has a double exposure
effect.

" Naturemort " by Igor Gitetcky, Russian Federation
Beautiful effect and colors. I like it. Not sure I'd drink dish soap or
bath salts. I guess if I was thirsty enough. :-)

" Summer Snow " by Edward Kreis
I like this and the blowing snow. About three weeks ago, we had snow
flurries at our house in Idaho. It was a hundred degrees F several days
earlier.

" Sounds of Silence " by Karoly Kovacs
Nice shot & title. I don't typically take this kind of shot so I don't have
much to say. It would make a nice fine art greeting card (as do many this
month).

" Drops of Dew " by Smirnov Andrew, Russian Federation
Very nice and abstract. I'm curious if it is done on black and white or
color.

I always feel enriched by the PUG. It's often like going on a hike or
taking a trip around the world. I am amazed this month by the creativity I
see in the shots and the eye for detail and beauty that's demonstrated by
the submissions. It's inspiring and educational (both photographically and
otherwise). Thanks to all the contributors and maintainers.
