not according to Nikon's shareholder filings with Japan's regulatory
agencies. this is where the Canon majority foreign ownership was disclosed,
along with about 100 other Japanese companies. i forget the market cap
cutoff, but it was quite low. there are very few Japanese companies with
significant foreign ownership.
