The MZ-S is almost certainly the most vibration free Pentax ever. It offers a
substantial advange over the Z-1p, or for that matter the LX, in this regard. I've
shot with a 600/4 + 1.4X converter at shutterspeeds as low as 1/15s with tripod and
they are razor sharp. I' have also exposure made at 1/90s with the same combo resting
on mother earth, and they are also sharp. With the Z-1p, everything below and
including 1/180s is a hit and miss almost regardless of support. This is truly
amazing; I wasn't aware that miror + shutter vibrations was the culprit - I though it
was technique. This is of course good news for macro shooters as well.
