With colour print film, I generally overexpose by 2/3 of a stop as a matter of course. Slide film, I tend to stick to the rated speed and compensate accordingly. I've never had much luck with the LX in auto. I'll be happily shooting away, and when I process the film, find a few shots per roll that are, for no apparent reason, 4 or so stops underexposed.


My LX used to do that, too.

Interesting, I cannot say that I can recall any of my five doing that.
As a matter of fact, the ladies at the lab I use used to comment that I was the most consistent in shooting a complete roll that they have come across. It is true that I still use a handheld meter, but I have often relied - especially in low light - on the LX meter...
