The original has "Made in Japan" engraved on the back of the top plate. The
middle series was assembled in
Malaysia and the plastics were made in Hong Kong. No matter which series is
available, it seems the used price is higher than what they were new.
I was fortunate to buy the Japan Model in like new condition for 125 USD. I
actually swapped a Plastic model for a MX in excellent/non-pro condition.
Both the dealer and I were over the moon.
