I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I responded through eBay, ignoring there request not to <g>, and asked how they could be offering me a second chance to buy it when they obviously weren't the original seller.
I got a response informing me that they weren't giving me a second chance offer, they had no idea where the offer came from and that this seller had had 10-15 of these emails that day.
