Once again I find myself "defending" one of the great lenses in the Pentax
(non)SMC lineup...  Ok, so it's not SMC... so what?  Don't shoot into the
sun.  The built-in hood is good enough to prevent flare at most other
angles.

What this lens is perfect for is indoor portraiture.  Does it deserve the
reputation of being soft?  No.  It is no worse than the FA28-70/4 I used to
have.

And for orders of magnitude less expensive than the other 135s it can't be
beat for value for money.  I bought mine for US$20.  Best $20 I spent on
gear.

And you gotta love the technicolor f-stop markings....
