Good question, but with the predicted demise of film right around the corner, I'm much more inclined to forgive them for not following through on that promise. After all I expect at least one of my MXs and maybe one of my LXs to survive as long as I'm interested in shooting film and film survives. I think I've shot 15 frames of Tri-x since I got the *ist-D, prior to that I was shooting at least two or three rolls of film a week, if anything interesting was going on quite a bit more. I'd enable myself with a medium format camera if I had a darkroom but until then, I'm set. (The D-FA lenses would work fine on my LX).
