Can anyone with a MX do me a favor, and look where the light seals and mirror bumper are supposed to be located? I'm trying to replace them, but I have the nagging feeling someone tried that before, and did some very odd things. The one that bugs me most is a foam strip on the bottom edge of the mirror itself: that can't be correct, can it?

How about the back: I see (remains of) foam strips in two long horizontal slots on the body and two long strips glued on the filmdoor. This seems redundant. Should both sets be there?

Behind the hinge is velvet, which looks good, but there's nothing at the lock-side of the door. Is that correct?

I looked at my MX:

- Foam strip at the top edge of the focusing screen support area as mirror bumper.
- Foam strips down both long channels in the body.
- Velvet behind the hinge on the back.
- Short foam strip (about 32mm long) along the top of the back, just to the left of the pressure plate (area where the frame counter reset lever contacts the back).

I suspect that last might have been added, but it seems about the right place for a precautionary added strip due to the lever contact with the back there.
