Assuming Tom is right, will it be good enough?
Especially given that Canon and Nikon have been featuring Stabilization,
Ultrasonic focusing and a few other niceties for quite a while, and
Minolta now sells stabilization embedded in the bodies...
While Pentax invented the (mostly) useless PowerZoom, Canon invented
USM. Assuming that Pentax is NOW (?) working on USM and/or
stabilization, who knows what Nikon/Canon sell by the time it gets to
the market?
Canon is already doing a step forward with their full frame (24x36mm)
12.8 Mpix CMOS sensors (http://web.canon.jp/Imaging/eos5d/index.html)
(although I'm far more impressed by the full-frame feature than by the
resolution).
If Ptx had anything similar in the pipe, with, say, a bit higher than
the *ist D price tag, THAT would be something... Even so... My local
dealer even doesn't know that Pentax sells anything else than Point and
Shoots :-(

Hello Tom,
You seem to know something :) - I'm really hoping that you're right.
