I would be happy to support a petition that follows the type of
responsible input suggested below. Although we should remember that the
successor to the *istD is probably already close to completion. It may
well be too late to consider our wants..

We can't (and shouldn't try to) design the camera(s) for
them. We can just provide them with better data for them
to estimate how much we care about a given feature (which,
more or less, means how much we would pay for it), and let
them feed this into their models which predict how many
camera sales they lose for every dollar on the price.
