Hi Mark
One tip I picked up from a local motorsports photographer is to use a
monopod
with it's foot anchored in a moonbag around your waist. By bracing the
camera strap
around your neck and the monopod in the moonbag, you end up with a fairly
decent,
stable platform from which to pan with a long fast lens.Hope this helps.
