UMM excuse me sir, but why cant they support BOTH old and new
customers? Is that some earth shattering concept?. They don't
have to remove K/M AE to fully support newer photograhers. I don't
get why you say that. Please explain further...

Amen to JCO's remarks. Your explanations are to the point. Unfortunately,
Pentax will never come out with a dslr with full K/M compatibility. I
believe the company wants to go after newer photographers who have never
experienced Pentax film cameras. These buyers of Pentax dslr's will eagerly
buy the newer lenses that the camera body will support. Should they buy an
older K/M prime lens, they might not like having to manually focus the lens
which you don't have to do with the newer lenses. I know a photographer who
owns a 20D Canon. He can't believe that photographers like myself had to
manually focus a lens. Even more, he can't believe that there were cameras
that you had to manually set shutter speed and lens aperture to get a good
exposure. Light meter? What the heck is that used for. Again, Amen to
JCO's remarks.
