I don't know about the exact numbers but I agree that
the technology definitely reduces lost shots. That's
why I don't agree with PENTAX removing the AE technology
from K/M lenses without any compatability issues
causing it.

being an excellent wildlife photographer isn't enough. photo editors are 
continuing raise the standard for what is acceptable and that 1 out of 1000 
shot of 30 years ago has become a 1 out of 10 shot of today, most because of

technology.
