Well Pentax supports them, in all exposure modes. They certainly don't treat them as if they were obsolete. Don't you see a flaw in just about every bodies logic here? On both sides of this debate? I know I do. Especially since I have a number of K/M mount lenses which give as good as or better performance on the APS digital format than they do on film.

The camera may well support the lens, but if the lens doesn't support the camera, then its the same thing, obsolete. Some lenses work, some don't. I have several K/M lenses that are fine on the istD, some that aren't. Most of my A lenses are good, but a couple leave a something to be desired.
The ones that give good images on digital work.
The ones that don't, whether they are K/M/A/ or whatever, are obsolete for the digital camera.

Sorry to repeat myself, but it's not an all or nothing thing. There is a real wide range of what works and what doesn't. Some very good lenses on film just don't cut it on the DSLR. If this makes me seem like I am waffling, to bad. I won't cut down an entire tree to get rid of one wormy apple.
