I used to live in Montreal, but that was so long ago, I really can't remember
where any of the used camera shops are.
Hope you can take advantage of our low dollar, though! I guess if you buy used
gear, it won't raise the suspicions of the US customs, eh?
BTW, there is a mechanism whereby you can get a refund on GST (Goods and
Services Tax) that you pay on any items that you purchase in Canada. I think
you can apply for that refund after you get back home, by sending photocopies of
your receipts to the Canada Customs folks. I'm not sure of the mechanism to
use, but it might be worth looking into.
